Divorce is one of life’s most difficult experiences. It is a fluid process that can adopt a life of its own, and for most people it doesn't end the day the legal process is complete. It can evolve (and devolve) as time goes on, kids get older, and circumstances change. Managing the emotional impact of divorce can be a stressful and ongoing struggle that hurts you, your loved ones, and your communities.
Whether you are in the process of getting divorced or struggling years after the papers were signed, this workshop is for you.
Your Facilitators
Ann (Licensed Professional Counselor) and Caroline (Certified Divorce Coach) are not only academic students of the impact of divorce, but also have experienced their own divorces. Recognizing a gap in divorce support, they developed this program to address a missing component: education in a compassionate small group setting. They believe that rather than being an experience from which one recovers, divorce needs to be integrated into our lives on a holistic level. By becoming aware of the many facets of the journey of divorce, we can move toward accepting new realities and live balanced, productive, and peaceful lives.
Program Overview
This is not your average support group. Sessions are small, educational, and goal-oriented bringing awareness to concepts and tools to help integrate divorce into your life. Classes are interactive and conversational, and incorporate both practical information and open discussion.
You will find comfort being surrounded by empathetic women while gaining personalized attention to address your own set of challenges.
The workshop is conducted at a non-denominational private practice in Richmond's West End offering you a discreet and semi-private group experience.
